A busy July!
Whew....July was a hectic month! Weddings, weddings and more weddings! Add it family portraits, maternity sessions, infant sessions, and all of the other regular stuff and July has officially kicked my rear end!

Another High School Senior Shoot
Yesterday we took Tyler out around Kingwood for some Senior Portraits. We did the usual ones back at the studio but these are some of the ones that we took around town. We went to the Harley Davidson Store, East End Park and Town Center. For the first part of the session, he brought his dog, Scarlett. Once we dropped her off at home, we continued on our journey around town. Here is a few of the pictures.

Spring is Here ...(I hope!)
Well, it looks like Spring has finally sprung! It's been a long cold winter down here in Texas. I know people from other parts of the country think we are nuts for thinking its cold. But I don't care how you look at it....when it's 17 degrees....IT'S COLD!
Anyway...We had a great outdoor session yesterday with a great family. Here are a few pictures to highlight our session in the sun!

FREE PORTRAITS SESSIONS
I just came back from a long weekend of photo shoots and I started to go thru my website (http://jonmarkstudio.com). Noticed the “Portrait” Section was a bit on the underrepresented side. Also have been toying with some different lighting techniques. I know, it’s cold outside, and the flowers aren’t in bloom. But, that is the kind of stuff that motivates me. How can we create a beautiful portrait outside in such conditions? A challenge.
We need to add some outside/location portraits to the site, so here’s the deal… if you call the studio between now and February 13th, and tell the office manager that you want one of our free portrait sessions, you get one. Here are the parameters:
- You must sign a model release, and give permission to use images on our site.
- You must follow our clothing consultation recommendations!
- Each person or group gets 1 free 8×10 of their choice from the session, and a 50% discount on any other prints.
- Deadline for photography session is Feb 24th.
- Group may not be more than 6 individuals.
- This offer is only good for the first 5 folks to reserve their dates.
- Kingwood/Humble/Atascocita area venues only. Unless you have an incredible one that we can discuss.

Here's a sample of a photography session that I helped Audree Garcia Photography with over the weekend. She had five families over the course of the day and we shot inside and out. WHEW!!! A tiring day to be sure but we captured some great shots with some great looking families. More to come...

Well today, my niece set up an "Event" in Facebook (see link at right to become a "fan") to have me come down and take pics of friends on the beach. You have no idea how looking forward to that I am. It will be great to see Shauna and her new husband, Marc. I will also get to see my other niece, Gabby. And hanging out on the beaches in South Florida ain't so bad either!!!
